RESCUE CRISIS FUNDS NEEDED FOR CRITICAL CAT BILLS
Donation protected
The past few months we have had one emergency after another in addition to all the routine costs encountered on a daily basis for neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, foster costs and food.
In December alone FIV+ Buddy was diagnosed with diabetes and Ollie and Basil both came into the rescue and needed urgent investigations and emergency surgeries. It was a devastating shock to lose Basil after her surgery and we are heartbroken that by the time she got to us we were too late to save her, despite vet Jeni's best effort and subsequent around-the-clock care. 2022 dealt its final blow on New Year's Eve when long-term foster boy Cyril was rushed in with a critical fever, enlarged spleen and found to be severely anaemic. He has since been diagnosed with an aggressive mast cell tumour in his spleen and requires urgent surgery. Olly and Buddy require ongoing care, monitoring and medication.
The result is a colossal bill of over £5000, not including outstanding costs for palliative care foster cats Charlie and Kitty. Unless we can drastically reduce this, we are currently unable to access further urgent care for the cats in foster should it be needed and are at absolute breaking point financially, emotionally and physically. We literally cannot continue to help these vulnerable animals without further support as despite ploughing all available personal funds into repayments, it simply is not enough.
Thank you in advance for anything you can give. If you are not in a position to donate, please SHARE this emergency fundraiser for the cats.
