Kimberley's Kitties
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amy and I'm raising funds for Kimberley's Kitties.
Dubai’s streets are full of dumped, sick and pregnant stray cats. These animals are considered neither homeless pets, nor as living beings that deserve respect and a decent life. The municipality, instead of helping the cats, pays pest control companies to make them disappear.
That said, there are people over there who do want to help these cats and offer them a better life.
Kimberley is a rescuer who has spent 20 years saving Dubai street cats, often asking nothing in return. She traps sick and/or injured cats for treatment and cats for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) and also traps for many other Dubai-based rescuers.
Most cats, however, stand a very slim chance of being adopted within Dubai itself. International adoption holds more of a chance and Kimbereley spends much of her own funds helping her rescued cats reach forever homes here in the UK, or elsewhere in Europe.
My goal is to support all of Kimberley’s rescue efforts.
Sometimes people will understandably read posts like this and think that a small donation won’t really make a difference, but this simply isn’t true. The efforts of a global cat-loving community will quickly mean that the combined donations, small or large, all go towards making the overall goal a reality. So whether you donate £10, £50 or £100 – or whatever you can – please know that whatever you give will be directly helping a street cat to have a better life.
Anything you do to support us in this work really does make a huge difference. Please consider sharing, posting to your story, discussing with your friends, or with your family. Please also consider sharing with anyone else who, like you, cares about cats. With your help, we can make a difference for these cats.
