Rescue Bunnies! Hyzenthlay and Sheena's Emergency Surgery.

Hi there, my name is Ember and I rescue bunnies. Earlier this week I got a notification about two rabbits that were on the chopping block (literally) because they could not produce litters. They were being kept in a filthy coop without proper diet and were being forced to give birth over and over. I drove 2 hours yesterday to pick them up.

After I got home I was doing a thorough bunny checkup, and apart from scabs and scars and missing fur from however long they were living in squalor, discovered that the white one (who I have named Hyzenthlay) may be pregnant and is in distress, and the brown one (who I have named Sheena) has a firm mystery lump below her sternum. Both also have large swollen nipples and their belly skin is red and flaky from the dirty conditions. Both are scheduled for a vet appointment on Tuesday and Hyzenthlay is scheduled for an emergency spay on Wednesday but unfortunately that is where my funds run out. My best friend, my partner, and I have pooled all of our money to get these two the help they need but unfortunately it's still not enough.

Sheena desperately needs a biopsy and they both may need tooth trims as well. Because rabbits are considered "exotics" in Canada I cannot even get them insurance to help mediate the costs. Every single penny of this Go Fund Me will go towards getting these two any help they may need and anything that may be left over will be donated to Rabbitats Rescue in Vancouver to help bunnies without homes.

I know that whatever happens now is better than being baked into rabbit pie but I would love for these two girls to live long happy lives with whatever time they have left.
