Help Us Support iCare & Give More Rescue Animals a Second Chance
Meet Turbo — my sweet, goofy, loving cat who came into my life as a foster and never left. He was rescued by the incredible Elika Mansouri, founder of iCare, a non-profit organization that has saved over 1,000 cats and dogs from the harshest conditions in Kuwait and helped them find loving homes in Canada and the U.S.
Turbo was barely a month old when a kind stranger found him abandoned on the side of the road — covered in muck and garbage, and suffering from a severe eye infection in both eyes. Unable to do much themselves, they reached out to Elika’s organization, iCare, for help. Thanks to Elika’s quick response and care, vets were able to save one of his eyes, though it’s partially damaged. But that hasn’t stopped him from living his best life today — safe, loved, and spoiled in downtown Toronto.
Turbo was only supposed to be my foster baby, but we fell in love instantly but I continue to struggled with the fact that there are many more like him who need the same support and effort to be able to find their forever home.
Now, I want to give back to the organization that made this miracle happen. We’re raising funds to help iCare continue covering urgent hospital bills, rehabilitation costs, and rescue efforts for so many cats and dogs who are still out there waiting for help — just like Turbo once was.
From one adoptive parent to all of you: please consider donating. Let’s help Elika and her team continue their life-saving work. Every little bit helps, and from the comfort of our homes, we can make a difference.
With love and gratitude,
