Rescue and Care for Belk's Parking Lot Cats
Donation protected
A number of animal lovers in my area have been very concerned about four cats that live in the cargo trailer bay at Belk's department store, located in Valley Hills Mall in Hickory, N.C. In this Go Fund Me effort, we are asking for funds to cover the professional, humane and gentle trapping of the cats by a seasoned, professional rescuer/trapper. The successful capture of the cats would be followed by their spay/neuter/vetting at the Humane Society of Catawba County, located on Fairgrove Church Road in Hickory.
There is a mother cat and three of her babies. The babies are now about seven-months old and, along with their mother, survived the winter with some help by concerned locals who fed them.
Essentially, they have no home and are in an environment with a surrounding parking lot and traffic. Also, kitten season is almost here and, it is almost certain, that this little community will multiply exponentially within the next few months.
To prevent the growth of this little feline community and to see to the health, welfare and happiness of the four existing cats, we have arranged for the rescuer's services and will make the necessary appointments at the Humane Society. Following a brief recouperation period from their surgeries, they will be released to a fellow animal lover who has a suitable environment in which the cats can thrive.
The rescuer will need to be compensated at a reasonable rate for trapping the cats and the spay/neuter/vet services will need to be paid. It is for these services that we kindly ask for your support through Go Fund Me. At the time of successful completion of these tasks, we will make available the expenditures incurred that will be verifiable through individual invoices upon request.
Thank you for your consideration and for helping these kitties to have a happy ending!
