Rescue an Afghan Family

Hi Everyone,

My name is Henna Shaiq. I am fundraising for Hamad’s family; who are my relatives and left behind in Afghanistan. Their life is in grave danger because they are American Allie’s and their entire family has advocated for women's rights and children's rights, as reporters/journalists, as media personal, or have with American organizations and funded projects. They never imagined that democracy would be defeated that easily. They never imagined that they will be abandoned at such a time of need. Hence, they never prepared any backup plan to survive and hide. They are unable to return to their hometown as Taliban have taken over their village house and using it as public property and Taliban are looking for them. Now they are living in hiding in Kabul with every resource running dry. They don’t have anywhere to escape to because some of the family members do not have passports and all of them need visa to neighboring country

Recently, the Taliban found one of the family members and found him near a market. They attempted to kidnap him and when they couldn’t they stabbed him multiple times and beat him up close to death. But thankfully other cousins close by heard his screams for help. I have attached the picture of the recent attack on of them.

An organization by the name of Shona ba Shona is willing to help and evacuate them. However, we need funds to update their passports, get visas and tickets. To renew the passports; we need 2000$ and 650$/person including the unborn child that will be visa and plane ticket together. The family has been starving because they are out of money and whatever saving they had, they used for their survival. One of my family members is pregnant which is making it worse for her. I would like to thank Mr.Jason Ghormley; who is the director of the Shona ba Shona because he is willing to help them evacuate and meanwhile provide them food and wood for the family until they get evacuated. I would like to request donations and fundraising within the organization, and every penny will help them survive that you donate. The Taliban are walking door to door, searching for people who worked for either foreign companies or the government. As of this writing, the family remains in hiding.
