Financial Inclusion under Threat from the Taliban
Donation protected
The microfinance pioneers of Afghanistan need your help. Leaders of microfinance institutions and fintechs are being targeted because of their role in empowering women and promoting modern banking services with interest rates (un-Islamic in the eyes of the Talibs). I have successfully helped evacuate more than 1,000 at-risk Afghans who have fallen through the cracks and not been a priority to US or international evacuations efforts. We need your help to get this next wave out.
The volatility of the situation in Afghanistan. We are about 25% of the way to our goal of $200k, the amount required to fund the ground operations and charter flights required to move the fintech/financial inclusion community out of Talib-controlled Afghanistan. Every dollar donated helps and every penny will be used to support the evacuation and resettlement effort. Tax-deductible donations will go to Uplift Afghanistan for disbursement. If we exceed our goal, the extra funds will support future evacuations and/or resettlement efforts.
Thank you!
