Critical Aid Needed: Amir’s Family of 15 in Gaza
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Joud, and I’m a Palestinian artist from Gaza, now living in the United States after being rescued by a generous American journalist. But my family—my teen brother Amer, my elderly mother, my two sisters, and their 10 children—are still trapped in Gaza, where they are facing starvation every single day.
This is not just a humanitarian crisis—it’s a daily nightmare.
They Are Surviving on Almost Nothing
There is no access to regular food. My family has lived for weeks on bread, water, salt, and when that runs out, animal feed and bird seed. Prices for any food or hygiene products are beyond imagination. A small bag of flour or canned food now costs more than what a family used to spend in a week.
The children are crying from hunger. My mother, an elderly woman with declining health, has been giving her share of food to the children just to keep them alive. My brother Amer, once a college student full of hope, now spends his days searching for scraps to feed the little ones.
They are not living—they are barely surviving.
What Your Donation Will Do
• Buy essential food supplies: rice, flour, lentils, baby formula, clean water
• Provide hygiene and sanitary products that are no longer affordable in Gaza
• Help prepare for their eventual escape when a border opens, with funds to evacuate safely to Egypt and then Turkey
A Story the World Needs to Hear
With the help of the journalist who got me out, we recorded a 30-minute radio broadcast that tells the story of my little brother Amer—his dreams, his poetry, his suffering. It was heard by over 400,000 people, and now a book is being written about him: a boy sitting on a bombed rooftop, talking to a Palestine Sunbird, sending letters to our father’s destroyed grave.
We hope the book will one day bring more support—but we can’t wait. They need food now.

I am not asking for charity—I am asking for solidarity. I am doing all I can, but I cannot carry this burden alone.
Please, donate what you can to keep 15 people—my family—alive. And if you can’t give, please share this campaign. Hunger doesn’t wait.
With love,
Joud
