I'm coming to my friends and family for help as I have reached a desperate point in my life. I am currently behind on my rent and hope that any support will help stabilize my financial situation.

Since my divorce in October 2015, the boys have had their challenges from mental hospital stays, substance abuse issues, legal issues, a court-appointed to stay at a residential treatment facility, and we lost three dogs. During this time, I took care of my father for four years in my home, who suffered from Alzheimer's, working several jobs to make ends meet. After my older boys graduated from high school and the child support stopped, I continued to support them and whatever stray friend who needed a place to stay. I always struggled and just continued to ask God to help me. In 2019, I lost my father, my hero, my first love. In 2021, we put our house on the market, knowing that the proceeds from the sale would fund our move and provide the money needed to secure another place for myself and the boys to live. Even though the divorce decree stated that I was supposed to receive 100% of the proceeds from the sale of the house, I was notified on the day of closing that my ex-husband said that I owed him money from 2018 and 2019 there was nothing left. My boys and I had no money to move and nowhere to go. My older boys had to scramble and find an apartment. I asked my ex-husband if my younger son could live with him for two weeks to finish school, but he said no, staying with friends and family. I stayed in Kingwood with my boyfriend. It was very stressful. The money has not been recouped, and I am uncertain if I will ever see this money.

I have had chronic pain before and after my surgery on March 10, keeping me from working my side jobs. I'm so behind on everything, and we are about to be evicted. I need a little help to get back on my feet. My boys want to be back with me, and I want them back. We never intended to go separate ways, but we were forced to when I was left with no money. I am asking you to help me save my current apartment so that I don't have a broken lease on my record so that I can lease a house after this to be back with my boys.
