My daughter Chantell and I have been my dad's caretakers for nearly 10 years. I'm not going to say it's the easiest job, but I am going to tell you it's the most rewarding. My dad was a very easy-going guy, never really let anything bother him, and just most of the time wanted to be outside enjoying the fresh air.

When I was younger, my dad's favorite thing to do was to be at Seaside Heights or Gillford Park and just enjoy the breeze from the ocean. He did plenty of fishing in the ocean and always would come home with fish that my mom would typically cook that Sunday.

My dad's journey has now come to an end, and his soul has been reunited with all of his friends and family who have passed before him. He lives in the eternal life of health and happiness. I am shedding tears of gratefulness because I am grateful for the time that God has given me to spend with my dad, especially during his last moments. It's a memory I will hold onto forever.

My dad will be cremated and we will be spreading his where we feel he would feel most free. This place will be Seaside Heights/Gilford Park. I’m not sure exactly when we’re going to do that, but it will be sometime this summer. I will make certain that everyone is aware of the exact date.
