Thank you so much for visiting and considering this fundraising campaign! My name is Neal, and I am a second-year doctoral student at The Ohio State University. I have been invited to present at several academic/professional conferences in 2022, but as a full-time student making only $24,000, there is no way I can afford them on my own.  I wish to attend the ACPA conference , the AERA conference ,  and theForum for Education Abroad  conference , in which I will be able to present/attend sessions on research topics about how race and racism in college impacts the graduation rates of students of color (like myself). By attending these conferences,  I will have a national platform to present on my research as well as engage in meaningful networking with prominent education researchers and administrators who may be very helpful for my career search upon graduation. 

Any and all financial support means everything to my success. I  am the first in my family to pursue graduate education, and I identify as a queer, black, man living with disabilities. Statistically, I make up less than 3% of the total number of doctoral students, and every day, I am constantly reminded how rare my existence is.  I am hoping to be able to secure some funding from my university, which will likely amount around $1,500, but in the spirit of transparency, I want to share the link to my budget so that there is no secrecy about the total costs that I have budget. Nonetheless, thank you for your consideration in supporting my goal.
