My pregnancy journey has not been an easy one, but I've been privileged with access to holistic care, state of the art medical facilities, non-western healing modalities, and professional support from an array of doulas, midwives, and doctors.

 

In Chicago, as in the US more broadly, Black birthing people are 6 times more likely to experience maternal mortality than their white counterparts. At BA NIA Inc., we want to put an end to these disparities, which are rooted in structural racism.

 

BA NIA Inc. is a reproductive justice and health equity organization focused on serving BIPOC & LGBTQ birthing people on the South Side of Chicago. We are humbled to implement 30 years of knowledge and experience nurturing the whole woman, child, and family.
