Reprieve for Ongoing Medical Bills

In 2015 I was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease most closely linked to Lupus SLE. This has seen me experience a range of symptoms including:

-Chronic fatigue 
-Severe joint pain
-Severe chest pain (mimicking a heart attack)
-Memory loss
-Confusion
-Visual disturbances
-Dropping objects
-Muscle weakness
-Sensitivty to sound, touch and flashing lights 
-Always being cold
-Platelet dysfunction
-Bulky spleen
-Size difference between pupils 
-Thickend blood vessels at the back of the eyes
-Scarring of the retinas
-Narrowing of the ear canal
-Legs permanently looking blue/dead

Since that time my health has been deteriorating further to the point now that I am experiencing atypical seizures.

Over the past 4 years I have seen a myriad of specialists, only to be able to have the symptoms treated as they arise, rather than receive a conclusive diagnosis and in turn, an effective treatment plan.

In addition to my deteriorating health I was also made redundant last week. With a combination of crippling medical costs and now an uncertain future of my income I am at a loss on how to keep handling our situation going forward. 

As Canberra is quite limited to access to widely experienced specialists and equipment needed to pinpoint my medical condition we will need to travel and also further invest in private medical treatments. I will need to travel to Melbourne for EEG testing on my brain and also find a neurologist (most likley in Sydney) to be able to receive a better diagnosis and treatment. 

My overall goal is to be able to work without the worry of coming down with a crippling flare up, regain the person I used to be, provide a life for my girls where their mummy isn’t always so sick and also alleviate the constant worry that my husband bears. 

Any amount will be more than greatly appreciated. It isn’t in my nature to ask for help, especially in this manner, but with my health deteriorating the way that it is I am becoming desperate to access the testing, specialists and treatment needed to stabilise my health.
