Gymnasts, Archie & Samuel have been selected to represent Great Britain in Poland in November 2024!

Archie & Samuel are an Acrobatics 12-18 Mens Pair partnership from Splitz Gymnastics Club in Weston-super-Mare and have been competing together for 3 and a half years.

Prior to entering the competitive discipline of Acrobatics, Archie started at age 7 in a Splitz after school gymnastics class. Samuel also started at age 7 in a General Gymnastics class at the club. They went on to compete through the levels in different partnerships before forming partnership together.

They entered their first competition together in February 2022 where they scored the highest overall score out of all the international development levels in a Regional event, placing 1st which landed them a spot to compete in the National Finals in May.

2 months later, they went on to compete at an Invitational event in April where they made personal best scores in Artistry (8.75) and Execution (17.60) and the highest overall score of the categories.

The pair then made it to the National Finals event where they took a Gold, making them National Champions.

Following this, the boys started the new year and moved to the FIG pathway in 2023, where they prepared for 6 months working all new skills to perform at the British Championships performing in 3 separate routines and proudly placed 1st.

The boys have gone on to win more medals at events since this. Most recently this year, becoming English Champions, winning an Invitational event and becoming British Champions for the second year in a row!

Their amazing journey has now lead them to recently being selected to represent GB in Poland where they will proudly represent their country. A dream really has become a reality for these two Gymnasts! Their hard work and dedication to their training inside and outside the Gym has lead them to this opportunity and we are so proud of them.

We have set up this Go Fund Me page for them as this event is entirely self funded, so we are looking for support to help get the boys to Poland in November - Any support is greatly appreciated!
