Hello! My name is Mark Warburton and I am the coach and owner of Sarnia Olympic Taekwondo Academy in Canada. My young athlete, Parker Baca is 15 years old and just won gold at the Junior Canadian Team Trials in the Female Heavyweight (+68kg) category, which earns her the chance to represent Canada at the 2024 World Championships being held from October 1-6 in Chuncheon, South Korea.

She is one of only 4 athletes to ever be able to compete at this event in the history of our community in our sport.

For junior ages athletes (15-17 years old) the national team spots are completely self-funded so we are seeking support from the community and Taekwondo community to help her attend as well as her coach hopefully attend the trip also.

Every little bit means the world and we greatly appreciate all of your support! This is just the beginning of her international competitive career and the first step towards a future Olympic goal.

In addition to her travel costs there are other expenses she has to cover such as training camps, a nutritionist, strength & conditioning and so on.
