Fencing for GBR

my name is Matt

I have been training as a para fencer for 1year 6months , I’ve been invited too fence for GB in Italy and more world cups too come, looking for some help / support/ sponsorship with costs to compete on the world stage , with hope of getting on the world class program at bath university where funding begins.

A little bit about me !

I was a carpet fitter that worked in bath for many years,

I decided too take my boy camping for the weekend and I never came home for 6 months,

I fell of my sons bike n landed on my head, I was rushed too Southampton hospital where I found out that I had spinal stenosis on c5-c7 which when I bent my neck due too the accident the bone spurs compressed my spinal cord and left me paralysed.

I was operated on straight away to relieve pressure on my spinal cord to give me the best hope of some recovery,

I’ve spent 3 years so far recovering in pain too get where I am.

I train at Bristol blades once a week and have represented GB in the Cardiff World Cup where I done well ,

I also go too the ADP training camps that have helped me improve a fair bit and would love too compete more for GB.
