Replacing Nancy and Mason's E-Bike

Dear Friends, Family, Neighbors, and Strangers,

I am Nancy. I retired 6 years ago to take care of my Mom. 2 years later Mom died but in the meantime I offered to help a young mother. She ended up leaving the infant with me so I have known 5 year old Mason since the delivery room and am raising him as my own son. (I also have a 32 year old son on his own and helped raise 2 step children.)

We've had a series of unfortunate events this year starting with flood damage from the storms in January, a cat bite that required me to be hospitalized, a sick dog that had to go to the vet emergency room, my car being stolen in May, and finally, my partner of 10 years, who Mason called Dad, died in a drowning accident on July 21. When Doug died many,many people offered to help and I just didn't know how to say "Yes, this is what I need." I appreciated every single offer of help and remain grateful for the compassion and emotional support given.

Our E-bike got stolen this week and I am asking for help to replace it. Mason started kindergarten in August and weve been riding the bike to and from school most days. We use it for errands and even to run the dog. On Tuesday September 12 our e-bike was stolen from im front of our house. We are so sad as it was part of our daily routine. I am asking for help to replace the e-bike which will cost about $2000. Thanks for considering our request and for sharing it if you can.
