Replacement Gay Pride Symbols

NOTE:  Thank you!  Any funds not needed will be given to a local outfit(s) in NH that helps bring about understanding and justice for people who are not treated fairly .

On June 1, in celebration of Pride Month, I got on a ladder (which I never do because, well, I'm not so good on a ladder) and put up two Gay Pride flags ... one on a tree on my Effingham Falls, NH property that sits on Route 25 and the other on a tree on my Effingham Falls, NH property that sits on Route 153. It took me too long, I'm sure, but I was proud of my work -- and proud of these flags that symbolize hope, welcome, and pride for people like me who identify as LGBTQ. 

Today, I found that the poles were ripped down and the flags taken.

I'm not going to let myself be sad right now ... or worried ... or anxious. That'll come along when I calm down a bit, I'm sure. I'm going to put a flag (or something) back up. And I'll do it again and again if that's what's what. Gettysburg Flag Company couldn't have been nice when I was in touch with them. Their beautiful flags -- made in the USA -- are just lovely. But they suggested going the cheap route on Amazon or something in case this destruction is not just a one time thing. I'm thankful to Rob who helped put up the homemade rainbow signs Colin and I made last week which, until an hour ago, were propped in front of my house.

I'm wondering if some friends might be interested to help me with a few dollars with purchasing these replacement things ... I know that I'm inclined to want to help with an arising need now and again for the sake of good and thought maybe others might feel similarly with this particular effort. I plan to me ready to purchase whatever supplies necessary in the Pride Month weeks ahead to replace whatever is destroyed. Symbols of Pride are needed here in Carroll County , New Hampshire.

These are strange times.
