Hi, My name is Stephanie a.k.a. "Daisey".
I've been encouraged and empowered by my NextDoor App Community to raise money for my brother whose tools "livelihood" were recently stolen. My posting was just to ask if people saw anything or if they found items not belonging to them in their yard, etc. Here it goes
At the wee hours of this morning (5/28/2023), my brothers truck-bed was broken into while parked on Laguna Street between Greenwich and Lombard in San Francisco, CA.
He is an electrician by trade (General Contractor's License) and most of his everyday work equipment, containers of materials, data meters, hand/power tools, toolbag, and customer supplies were stolen.
It takes a good 30 minutes to unload this stuff with 2 people with the truck-bed cover open.
Someone had to see something. He estimates close to $15,000 was stolen, not including the damage to his roll-top bed cover.
His insurance only covers $5,000. We are all fighting to stay afloat in these crazy tinmes. These thieves have no idea the trickle down effect of hardship they cause to the working class people.
He can’t work without his equipment. These thieves took more than just tools… they took my brothers livelihood. Which affects the people he employees, because they can’t work since there’s no equipment, and he will lose the one job he is working on because he can’t complete it without his equipment.
Please, if you saw anything or maybe your ring cam caught something, DM me.
He usually unloads his truck every night, but our family is exhausted with caring for a loved one who is dying, therefor was too tired after working all day and taking the 5 hour shift to watch our uncle that he didn’t unload his truck bed. Before anyone hates on my brother for not being responsible… we have many things we are juggling in our family, so please keep your negative comments to yourselves. It doesn’t help our situation.
We are only looking for anyone that may have seen anything or if his stuff was dumped elsewhere.
I might add, his truck was across the street from our house.
Thank you.
06/02/23- UPDATE: His job has extended the timeline to complete by 2 weeks. We have 2 weeks to raise money.
Are pictures of some tools that were stolen.
