Replacement memorial statue for Kevin Crickmore
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Aimee. The youngest of Kevin’s 5 daughters. I’m hoping to raise enough money to pay for a replacement memorial statute for our beloved Dad.
Our Dad was an amazing Dad to us girls throughout our whole life. When he was diagnosed with Kidney cancer in 2014 our whole world fell apart. Although he has a resting place, he bought and donated a Saint Jude statue to the Oratory in Birmingham, in memory of him after he died. The statue had a memorial plaque with his name and dates on and was placed in the cloister of the church. It has provided our family a great deal of comfort over the years and the statue was loved by the parishioners at the Oratory also.
The statue was cruelly stolen during evening mass on Monday 4th December 2023. After being reported to the police, and being followed up by myself, the police decided to close the case and the statue has not been returned.
This has bought the family so much heartache because it genuinely was somewhere that we would attend when missing him and it really did bring so much comfort. If you know any of us girls personally, you’ll know that we all have pictures with the kids next to their grandads memorial statue.
Any help is hugely appreciated and we’re fully aware that times are financially hard at the moment. If you can not donate, please share the fundraiser so we can get Saint Jude back where Dad wanted him and where he belongs. Our Dad would honestly be devastated.
Thank you
Kev’s girls x
