We urgently need your help to complete the fundraising for the replacement floodlights. We have done amazing so far, but there is still a way to go.

If you wind the clock back just 10 years, in 2015, there wasn’t even a junior section at the club. It was literally a few dads on what we affectionately called the cabbage patch, a couple of flat balls, and a handful of cones. That was it. There was no structure, no plan—just a love of rugby and a belief that we could build something meaningful for the kids in our community.

Fast forward to today—and we’ve got something very special. We now have 150 children aged between 6 and 18 pulling on the Bees jersey every week. Every child who trains or plays here is part of a growing rugby family—one built on passion, effort, and a lot of muddy boots.

And here’s the big news: next season, we’ll see our very first group of juniors transition into the academy and become eligible for senior rugby. That’s a massive step forward—not just for those lads, but for the entire club. This is the future of our senior team being built right in front of us.

Our goal for next season is to push on even further—to increase junior membership to 200. That’s 200 kids getting active, learning teamwork, discipline, and pride in the badge.

But this progress, this momentum—it’s all at risk.

Most of our age groups train midweek, on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights. We run those sessions back-to-back, just before the seniors. And here’s the simple truth: without reliable, upgraded floodlights, that evening training stops.

If we lose our lights, we lose our training. If we lose our training, we risk losing players. We risk losing progress. And we risk losing the very heartbeat of the club's future.

We’ve explored other venues, but there’s no guarantee of space, consistency, or that sense of home we’ve worked so hard to build here.

This fundraising appeal isn’t just about raising money for some hardware. It’s about safeguarding everything we’ve built over the last decade. It’s about making sure the next generation of players have a place to grow, to train, and to thrive—under the lights, on their pitch, at their club.
