Help Philip to get a New Electric Wheelchair

Hello to all my dear friends, family and fans!

Thank you for coming this far and reading my story.

This has been really hard to write and I have put alot of thought into it before setting up this page.

In the past 5 years I have had 3 different wheelchairs, which I've bought second hand on ebay, and have had to maintain and customise myself (and I don't just mean the car horn!)

My current chair has now got a broken axel and is almost impossible to use, I am just about getting by, but what I would really like is my own, new powered wheelchair which is customised to my needs, one that doesnt have broken parts on it, or fittings that will just about do, where my feet reach the footplates etc... and importantly one that has a warantee that is easy to maintain, reliable, comfortable and we can get parts for.

So, this is where I am asking for your help x

Anyone who knows me, will know that I have a growth condition called Achondroplasia and as I am getting older I am finding I have to use my wheelchair alot more than I used too, this is due to my legs going numb after standing for a short while, breathlessness and trapped nerves in my lower back causing alot of discomfort. I also get some anxiety when in public as I worry about being knocked over, and/or loosing my balance knocking into people and cause confrontation.

I’m reaching out to ask for your help in raising funds for a customised electric wheelchair that will transform my mobility and quality of life.

Unfortunately, I’m unable to access NHS funding for this essential equipment, as I don’t currently meet the criteria of needing it in my home.

A new, made-to-measure electric wheelchair would be a game-changer. It would offer at the very least:

• Comfort and Support: Designed specifically for me, to prevent strain and pain from long-term use.

• Durability: Built to last, so I can rely on it for years to come.

• Covered under a warantee and spare parts available

• Freedom and Independence: Helping me stay active and engaged with the world outside my home.

The cost of a customised electric wheelchair is significant, and I wish I could cover it alone but I am unable too, so I need to ask for support to help make it a reality.

Any donation, no matter how small, will bring me a bit closer to my goal. If you can’t donate, which I totally understand, please can you share my fundraiser with others as it would mean the world to me and increase my chances of reaching my goal.
