We've been having a hell of a month. We moved from Florida to California in order to pursue better opportunities for employment and healthcare. Four roommates packed into a tiny car and drove from coast to coast. We did not know how hard it was going to be to find an apartment. After weeks of searching and multiple airbnbs we finally lined up a place. On the day the lease would be signed we received an email stating the landlord was taking the property off the market. Back to square one. We stopped at a coffee shop in Oakland to figure out what came next. While we were inside, three young men came up, smashed our windows, and stole our bags full of clothing, medicine, and electronics. According to witnesses they were armed. Now we're trying to pick up the pieces. With your help we can raise the money to replace what we've lost.
