Hi, my name is Janet Miller and I'm fundraising for my daughter's family, The Santanas. Her family drove from California to Indiana in April to be with us for her grandmother's funeral. Their family sacrificed and spent time apart to help me through my grief of losing my mother, who my husband and I had cared for in our home for 7 years. Meredith also wanted to give us time to get to know our granddaughter, Rosalina and to be able to see little Avi born. I would like to raise funds to replace their stolen items because of all they have done for us.

Meredith was expecting Avi at the time, so she and Rosalina stayed with us for 5 months while her husband, Eric, went back to California. He is a dedicated firefighter with Cal Fire and was needed back in California for fire season.

Eric returned to Indiana for Avi's birth in August. On September 25th they packed a UHaul with all of their family's belongings and set out on the long drive back to California. You can imagine all the things needed for a 13-month-old and newborn!

On September 27th they stopped for the night in Albuquerque, NM. The next morning they woke to discover their UHaul had been stolen. They were devastated. All the gifts they had received and everything they purchased for Avi, all the things they had for Rosalina, in addition to all of their things were gone. The police said they would look for it, but advised them to leave as soon as possible and get their babies away from the hotel.

Two days later, the UHaul was anonymously returned to a UHaul location in Albuquerque. There was no damage done to the UHaul; they just wanted the things inside.

The family lost a crib, bassinet, Pack'n Play, two strollers, 4 baby carriers, a car seat, baby swing, diapers, and formula, in addition to all the children's clothes, toys, and many other items for their babies.

Eric and Meredith lost all of their clothes, laptops, and electronics.

First and foremost, the funds raised will be used to replace Rosalina and Avi's things. Any remaining money will be used to replace anything Meredith and Eric los
