Replace Learn to Skate Gear

Learn to Skate Society

Hi,I need the public help. Our equipment room at the Miners Forum got flooded out with all of the gear being ruined beyond salvaging. There is a lost of $15-20,000 worth of gear lost . So I am asking if anyone has gear to fit kids who need gear but cannot afford it please think us. We have given out at least 5000 sets of gear ,over the past 8 years. Thanks to the public.

We are anon profit group with no sponsor. We raise money by fundraising . We need quite a bit for ice . We cannot afford to buy hockey gear .

This year we have 100,Kids registered from about 18 different communities. The ages are 2- 14 and older if they want to learn to skate.

This is important to have gear to help get kids on the ice . Help if you can skate.

You play hockey
You can go to family skate
You can go on ice birthday parties
You can on a pond or outdoor rink to skate

It is so important to keep our program going .this is our 9 year in operation.

If you can donate gear or money to buy gear that would be awesome.

we skate Twice a week at the. Miners forum and they are great to deal with. They give a room to store our gear in the rink.

This gear is given to learn to skate first and foremost but we help a lot different kids or groups out.

Last we gave 15 helmets and 20 pairs of skates to Whitney Pier police boys and girls club .

I have seen kids forget gear and need gear from us to play in minor hockey. It is sometimes glsce bay players and sometimes it is the visiting team.

Our learn to skate program is always looking for a sponsor to cover the cost of the ice ,buy sweaters and it helps keep kids on the ice.

Finally I would like to thank the public and of CTV Kyle Moore for getting our story to let people know we need help.

If you have gear or money donations .please pm me or you can etransfer to
[email redacted]

We start on the ice September 26 th 4pm.

Thank you Coach Nick and kids from all of our communities.
