Replace Livelihood Tools for Jeff Van Hurston

Beat Funkle band member Jeff Van Hurston, whom we all know and love, sadly had his 2013 Fiat nicknamed “Yellow Submarine” art car stolen on Monday, October 23. His keys were stealthily lifted off the bar at the Blue Moon at around 9pm that evening.

Jeff immediately reported his car as stolen to the Seattle Police. Through Facebook and other online tips, the police were able to locate the vehicle and give chase after it, all to no avail.

Worst of all, when the vehicle was finally found, all of the expensive tools which Jeff relies upon for his livelihood, were stolen from the vehicle. These include: his manometer, his gas leak detection machine, carbon monoxide detector, volt meter, air pump, Klein tool bag including all his hand tools, PVC cutters, Bosch rotohammer and roto bits, electrical supply kits, and his clipboard with important bid notes containing measurements and other details of his ongoing and future projects. The list goes on…..

Again, ALL of these tools are foundational to Jeff’s being able to earn a living! With this horrible theft, his very ability to earn a living, i.e., pay his apartment rent and basic monthly bills, is on the line.

Jeff needs to drive this car in order to drive to work and ply his trade!

Repairs to the Fiat itself will cost approx. $1,700. His total need in order to pay the vehicle fees incurred from the incident (impound fees, damage to body and locks)

Plus - and most pressing – is replacing his stolen tools, which total comes to about $4,400.
