Replace Jodi's Lost Essentials After Shakedown
Donation protected
My friend Jodi, who is incarcerated in Massachusetts, recently had a number of items wrongly confiscated by COs. He is looking to replace a couple essentials that he uses every day, but he lost many things.
Here's Jodi's own words, and an itemized list of what he hopes to replace:
Recently, a state inmate overdosed in this prison and the entire facility was shaken down as a result, even those the state inmates are kept separate from the civil residents.
During this shakedown, a bunch of stuff was taken from me. Stuff that I purchased through the canteen here and I even have the receipts that prove it to them. Their excuse is that the items were altered or not sold through canteen. I had a paper circle taped to the front of my fan to make the fan quieter. The paper was what the considered the alteration. All they had to do was take the paper off. They didn't.
This place uses excuses for petty just to take something from us because they wear the badge. Society needs to know about how this place misuses taxpayer money and how shitty the civil residents are treated and disrespected.
I need your help to relace some of the items because they recently took my job from me because I was following the rules and the order the captain had given me. Just because the COs can't control themselves and their threats, I'm the one who suffrs, again, because they wear the badge, they're ALWAYS right and we're always wrong.
Laws are constantly being broken in here by the people that are supposed to provide "care and custody" over another human being.
Please help me to replace the following items:
Hot pot $22.46
Fan $32.74
Bathrobe $38.73
Extension cord $7.25
Total 111.18
A little extra ($120) is needed because this place charges a fee to deposit money to my account
