Hi, my name is Kathy. I'm raising money for my nephew Kyle VanderHelm. Kyle moved to NW Indiana in August to begin teaching History at Illiana Christian High School. At 11:00 pm on Thursday, 2/29 a fire started at the far end of his apartment building. At midnight he was told he had to evacuate. By 1:00 am he and his dog were living with us. He left behind everything he owned and is now starting to process of starting over. In order for his renter's insurance to provide any coverage he either needs pictures or receipts. Any receipts he has are in the apartment and he has been barred from accessing the space. If the building is condemned (which will take at least 2 weeks) he will not be able to retrieve anything. He left everything behind and needs to start from scratch.
