If you’re a part of the AFL Queensland community, you’ve probably seen the incredible work of Brooke Sleep, or been lucky enough to be captured by her lens. Brooke is more than a photographer. She’s a friend, a supporter, and a passionate advocate for grassroots footy. Even more than that she is one of the kindest, most generous people you could ever meet.

Week in and week out, she gives her time, energy, and incredible talent to photograph games across the leagues, all completely for free. She’s committed to getting the perfect shot and literally lays in the dirt to do so. She never charges for her photos, and she never asks for anything in return. She simply does it out of love. Love for the game, love for the community, and love for capturing the moments that matter. She’s the kind of person who always shows up with a big smile, iconic mullet and camera in hand ready to capture cherished moments for players, families, clubs, and communities.

Sadly Brooke’s main camera recently broke, and replacing it comes with a big cost. While she is getting by with a back up she is borrowing from her Dad, she needs a reliable replacement for her previous equipment to continue her work. As you can probably assume, professional photography gear isn’t cheap and for someone who gives so selflessly, let’s give back.

Brooke would never ask for this support herself. This fundraiser has been created on her behalf to give the footy community a chance to show our gratitude. This is our chance to support someone who continues to give so much to the game we all love. Let’s come together and help Brooke get a new camera so she can keep doing what she loves and what she’s so amazing at, capturing the spirit, heart, and beauty of local footy.
