Replace a bench dedicated to my Mum
Donation protected
My mum passed away from cancer in 2014. She'd fought it before and won but didn't have it in her a second time. She was the best, and the the least morbid person ever - she didn't want a gravestone. I sponsored a bench in Cardiff's Bute Park to help everyone who knew her remember her when they were in the capital. It was an older bench, so I was told it may not last.
6 years later, the bench is on its ass, and the Council have told me they'll have to remove it. A brand spanking new, vandal-proof bench is £1500. So that's my goal. Anything over I'll be donating to Cancer Research. If I'm under, I'll work to make it up to the total somehow.
