Replace a bad Ankle
Donation protected
Greetings, my name is Chris, I was born with a severely clubbed foot. My right foot at birth was turned right round backwards. It was corrected through use of a special set of boots with a brace bar between that forced the foot and ankle to develop towards the correct direction. Apart from a slight inward turn and albeit a much smaller bone structure in the right leg from the knee down I led a very active childhood. The correction however caused a deformity in the ankle joint of my foot which later in life became arthritic. I have severely reduced range of motion in the joint and for the past 14 years have been in a lot of pain. This has drastically changed the way I deal with life, activities and day to day tasks.
I have learned of a joint replacement clinic abroad that perform a total ankle replacement that would correct the damaged and deformed joint. The only solutions locally have been opting for ankle fusion that would remove any movement in the ankle.
I've learned of an affordable clinic in Lithuania that specializes in joint replacements and caters to patients traveling from all over the world.
I am looking to raise enough money so I may travel over and replace the damaged section of my ankle and improve the movement while removing the pain from the arthritic joint. This would give me a new lease on life, allowing me to walk pain free, and return to an active lifestyle.
Any help would be much appreciated.
