Dear Family, Friends and Colleagues 

With heavy hearts and great sadness we mourn the loss of Dr. Ibrahima S. Kaba. Ibrahima passed away at 32 years on 1 September,  2020 after battling an illness for a long time. He was a beloved friend, brother, and son to his loved ones. He was also an excellent researcher, teacher, and speaker. Many of our lives were impacted in some way by his infectious smile, his charisma,  and his intellect. Ibrahima's legacy will  live on through us. As his UNU-MERIT family, we would like to raise funds to repatriate Ibrahima's body back home to his beloved parents and family in the coming few days. We are targeting 15,000 euros to cover most of the expenses. All the funds will be given to his brothers who will facilitate the repatriation process.
