Hi, my name is Olga Hietpas. I am fundraising for a Catholic Monastery in Western Ukraine (Transfiguration of Our Lord Jesus Christ.) My cousin is a priest and caretaker of the monastery. This monastery has a center of spiritual and psychological renewal and serves people who are suffering from the strains of war (trauma and addiction). The monastery is working on a repair and expansion project that will allow it to expand capacity to serve and house 18 more people as the people experience spiritual and psychological healing through the programs offered. I am fundraising specifically to help raise money for a kitchen to be added to a new modular building which is being built to serve the additional people.

Since beginning this fundraiser in 2023, much work has been done on the expansion project. The monastery is now able to serve the additional people and is looking to expand yet again. This fundraiser will be ongoing to help fund the new expansion and to keep the programs going that take place in the new buildings. Donations may also be used for repairs. Most recently, there was a problem with their well which resulted in no water for a time.
