Repair Wheel Chair Accessible Van

Maria Laboy is in a wheel chair due to M.S.  She cannot walk.  Yet she goes to work every day.  

She is now riding Metro lift for people with disabilities. She has been stranded at her office parking lot until after dark because they forgot or had to find someone to drive.  Friday she was at a grocery store.  She called for a ride home and they did not have anyone to pick her up, when earlier they reassured her they did.  She was left in the parking lot, at a closed grocery store for hours until someone picked her up at Midnight.  She is being put in extremely dangerous situations.      

She’s unable to go to her therapy and MS treatments. 

Maria has a handicap accessible Van.  The passenger side, sliding door is what opens and lifts Maria’s wheel chair into the van.  The boarding door will not open or close completely therefore she was unable to get in or out of the van.

Cost to replace door roller, passenger door assembly, replace rear window that was shattered when mechanic try to adjust the passenger door that lifts the wheel chair into the van, labor, tires to replace her bald tires so the van can pass inspection and the inspection fee. Approximately $3,500. 

We are not asking for extra funds.  Just enough to get the van repaired. Even if you are not able to donate much every dollar counts and is greatly appreciated!
