Our family home in Jamaica, built by our late grandmother Floretta Rodgers, has suffered severe damage. It has survived a fire and multiple hurricanes but has fallen into disrepair over the last few years. Recently, hurricane Melissa tore apart what was left of the roof, leaving the home exposed to rain and additional damage. The home is unsafe for our elderly relatives who still live there and are its primary caretakers.

The grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Floretta Rodgers, now living in various parts of the world, are coming together to raise funds to rebuild our family home. Our immediate goal is to repair the roof so the home can once again be safe and secure.

The first step will be to have a professional assessment of the property to understand the full extent of the damage.

Our grandmother, who worked tirelessly to build this home, is laid to rest on the same property making it even more meaningful for us to protect and preserve. We’re asking for your help to honor her legacy and restore the house she built with love, faith, and perseverance.

This house represents our humble beginnings, a symbol of family, strength, and legacy, filled with decades of memories. Please join us in repairing this home, starting with the roof.

Your donations will go directly toward:
 • New roofing materials (lumber, waterproofing, etc.)
• Local labor to rebuild safely
• Basic repairs to prevent further water damage

Every dollar makes a difference and brings us closer to restoring a safe home for our family and honoring the woman who started it all. Please donate or share this campaign to help rebuild what our grandmother began.

Thank you for your love, support, and prayers.
