Repair Junior Johnsons original shops

Donation protected
Hi my name is Danny Armstrong. I purchased the original Homeplace of Junior & Flossie Johnson, including the original race shops of Junior Johnson & Associates. I had been running my car audio business in California for 20 years. My wife and I decided to purchase this property in North Carolina in pursuit of a better life outside of the concrete jungle. We plan to open our business in the shops behind our home. The problem is the shops are in very bad shape. We had no idea it was going to cost as much as it appears it will. We have already put in over $50,000 and it will take a rough estimate of at least $1000,000 more to have them in operable condition. Myself and my son are doing as much of the work ourselves as we can to keep cost down. Our funds are just about depleted and we are desperate. We need the shops open to generate income for our family.
Right now we are working on getting electric power restored. The electric wires were cut at the pole and everything is so old it must be redone and brought up to code. This is very expensive.
Other items that need repairs.
The roofs are in bad shape with huge leak areas and rotted wood. There is a 3-foot-deep sinkhole in one side of shops that needs a large area of concrete cut out and replaced. We already did structural repairs. Needs lots of paint and repairs to comblock walls where the foundation was sinking and left gaps in comblock. Multiple AC systems need to be checked and maybe replaced. Vines are growing through the outside AC condenser units. Most of the Garage doors do not work properly and need repairs. Doors and windows not working well or at all due to previous sinking foundation issues, which have been stopped.
Too much to list or remember. I am not the type of person to ask for help or handouts. I am in over my head and need help to make our dream of self-support in a better environment happen. If all goes well then we will also be employers of other local people. The only thing I can offer to those who choose to donate is your name on our interior shop walls as a donor. I will laminate a 3x5 card with your info and donation amount or anonymous info as you wish. This card will be epoxied onto a donor wall. I can provide pictures of work that needs to be done and work that is completed.
