Repairing Jody’s Financial “jolt”
Working for indigenous rights is the center of my person social justice mission. So when I learned that Kathryn (Jody) Beaulieu, an Anishinaabe elder from Red Lake, and a friend and colleague, was recently scammed for $9,000 I knew I needed to help.
(Also, I'm managing the fund transfers on Jody's behalf, which is why my name appears on the donation page.)
I met Jody as part of a legislative team I was asked to join, that has been working for Indigenous reparations for years. She was born and raised on the Red Lake reservation, spending summers there with her grandmother. She now splits her time between the Cities and the Reservation.
She is a fighter and has worked her whole life in service to her people and her heritage. Jody is Bear Clan, has such a big heart and an attractive spirit, that is a true joy to be with her. So it is a double tragedy that such a person would be targeted for such harm.
So I humbly ask that you share this link with friends and family and in giving (any amount will help) to help repair this terrible financial “jolt” that Jody was the victim of.
We are all related,
