Rep Jamaica in International Wresting Events

My name is Jordan Mitchell, and I am a Jamaican/American Olympic Style wrestler. I have been wrestling for going on 14+ years. I am currently a full-time student and athlete at Life University in Atlanta, Georgia. In addition to that, I coach kids from K-12. In the 14+ years of wrestling, I have faced ups and downs. Through both being an athlete and coach, I have grown to see that what I am aspiring for is greater than myself. I have the great honor of wrestling on behalf of Jamaica. Through this opportunity, I am able to live out my dreams of being an elite wrestler as well as helping to grow the sport of wrestling in Jamaica. While on this path, it is important for me to be an example to others and show them what can be achieved with hard work.

I wrestle year-round, and my summer wrestling competition statistic is thirteen wins and zero losses (13-0). A few opportunities have been presented to me to further enhance my wrestling career.

1) I have been invited to compete and represent Jamaica at the 2022 Canada Cup. This would be my debut in an international competition.

2) I have been invited to participate in a training in the Dominican Republic in November

3) I have been invited to train in Cuba in the future.

In addition to these opportunities, I expect to have additional competitions and camps be presented to me, Pan Am, World's, Olympics, you name it. Though I represent Jamaica in competitions, the events I participate in are fully funded by me. As a full-time student, I need help funding these great opportunities to increase my visibility and capabilities as a wrestler.

Please help me to continue to achieve my dreams and sow into this initial step in my journey of becoming an elite-level athlete.
