Fundraising for CHD School in Cambodia

Several years ago I was fortunate enough to spend a couple months in a rural region of Cambodia and help out with efforts to provide quality education for the local children there. An unforgettably positive experience. I have kept in contact with the school director Sokha ever since and sincerely endeavor to continue supporting his virtuous mission of helping impoverished children in his community gain valuable skills and greater opportunities.

The volunteer-based school he runs has been shut down since the pandemic began, however will be re-opening in the near future with the help of kind people like you.

I know that Sokha, the local teachers, parents and most importantly the students eager to learn will be immensely grateful and joyous for each contribution made here to get them back up and running securely.

"Hello all beloved friends,

I am Sokha Treng, Corey’s friend, and a founder of “Children with Hope for Development” (CHD). CHD is a non-profit and non-governmental organization that offers free education to poor and vulnerable children in Po Village and surrounding villages. This project has been created to assist children out of illiteracy, create opportunities for children, and contribute to the development of Cambodia.

Due to the Covid-19, we had to close CHD during 3 years. Now we are starting school again.

In order to continue our mission, keep school and Corey’s goals going, we need your continued support that we can sustain and support CHD activities. We need to raise the donations of $6000. This amount will cover for:

- School supplies

- Purchase second hand laptop computers for children to study

- Slide projector

- Electricity and water fee

- Teacher support

- Internet connection
