Historic flood waters flooded my shop, and I’m now facing a devastating loss. Insurance is denying the damage as an act of God, and my shop has been shut down for the last 5 days while we clean the floors and walls and assess the full damage.

This business is my only income, and every day I’m not working, we’re not bringing in anything to support my family and household. I’m a Navy veteran and a father of 6 kids, and this shop is how I provide for them. The hardest part is that so much of what I need to operate was lost or contaminated in the flood. That includes product and materials like shipping boxes and pallets of new ABS resin chemicals. My forming machine is still working, but the vacuum pump is not, which means I can’t fully get production back up and running.

My business also specializes in making kids’ costumes for Make-A-Wish children and other children battling life-threatening illness who dream of wearing white armor. This work means a lot to me, and right now I just need to get my product back and replace the lost goods so I can keep doing it.

Right now, I’m asking for help so I can replace the lost goods, repair or replace the vacuum pump, and get my shop functioning again as quickly as possible. Because this loss affects my income day after day, ongoing support would help me keep working toward reopening and replacing what was destroyed as these expenses continue.
