Help Athletic Performance Reopen Outdoor Facility

With 21 years in business, AP has consistently learned to tackle challenges and adapt to new changes with creative solutions. When the pandemic hit, AP adapted by creating a new outdoor training facility where athletes and regular gym-goers could continue to train, and “the turf” became an invaluable space for soccer leagues, baseball/softball lessons, and football training camps. But now, AP is facing its biggest challenge yet—the outdoor training facility is in danger of disappearing.

Three months ago, the City of Clovis Planning Commission suspended the use of AP’s outdoor training facility due to mandatory sidewalk improvements needed along Clovis Avenue. Unfortunately, the City is forcing AP to replace the sidewalk using its own funds—with construction costs averaging $100,000. The current closure of the outdoor training facility has resulted in a 15-20 percent loss in revenue since May 2022. If AP cannot replace the sidewalk, it risks permanent shutdown of the entire gym.

As school sports begin to heat up, it's critical that AP has access to its outdoor space. Every donation will immediately contribute towards construction costs of the sidewalk replacement.

AP is not just a gym, it’s our second home. For 21 years AP has developed youth athletes into elite high school, college and professional athletes. AP has motivated its group class members and personal training clients to achieve their fitness goals. And for 21 years, AP has selflessly given back to the Fresno/Clovis community—and our own families—by supporting local charities and non-profits, hosting free athletic camps, and allowing local groups to use its facilities.

AP continues to positively impact our lives, and we are so fortunate to be a part of this family. Now it’s our turn to give back to AP.
