Reoccurring Breast Cancer at 26
Donation protected
Having breast cancer at such a young age doesn't just affect your health, it affects you mentally and financially. In 2019 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer and I had to stop working for 3 months because I have to do 8 rounds of chemotherapy and 20 rounds of radiation. During that time I was living on my own and my job was my only source of income. I ended up spending all of my savings to try and stay afloat with my bills and daily living expenses but it wasn't enough. I quickly fell into debt. Long story short, I beat cancer moved back in with a parent and slowly started paying my debt off. I began working again and finally moved back into my own home and now i'm in the same situation just with a lot less savings. I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time within a year and a half span and this time it's completely different than the first time. Now I have to stop working again so that I can have a double mastectomy and the appropriate time to heal, while also going through chemotherapy. I am going in to my surgery Oct.28,2020. After surgery i will get my start date for chemo. I really just want to thank you guys in advance. Even if you can't donate,a share of my story would mean the world to me!
