After hearing the story of Renu I found myself very heart broken. I had to do something to help Renu with her struggles. I know after you hear her story you will feel the same and donate graciously.

 

Renu is 45 years old and is a resident of the Bay area in California. She grew up in India where she contracted Polio at a very young age. This caused her to grow up with paralysis and constant severe muscle aches.

 

At 22 years old, Renu migrated to USA where she was married and gave birth to a daughter. Soon after the birth of her daughter her marriage fell apart and she was divorced. She was left to fend on her own.

 

As you can imagine she has faced so many daily struggles being a single mother. While she did have a job it was a constant battle to make ends meet. In 2015 tragedy struck Renu’s life once again. She was diagnosed with two brain tumors. Due to the location of the tumors only one was surgically removed. Unfortunately the surgery severed nerves that left her with no feelings in her legs and neuropathic pain. She is now confined to a wheelchair. Renu continues to deal with painful symptoms from the second tumor for which surgery is not an option. The surgery has left Renu in major financial hardship. She has lost everything!

 

Renu's daughter (who is 12 years old) is in elementary school. The only way her daughter can get to school is with Renu driving her. Due to Renus limited mobility she requires assistance from her daughter in order to get in and out of her car. After dropping her daughter at school her only alternative is to wait in the car till school is done. She finds a spot close by school where she can not be noticed. Thats right she spends the entire day in her car without any washroom breaks.

 

Renu is struggling to make her day to day expenses not to mention her increasing medical expenses. With our help she will be able to find some relief from her mounting stress. Her income is so limited that she can barely pay for rent, bills and food. There is a real possibility that she could become homeless at any moment. Imagine raising a daughter and not being able to afford the simple everyday items.
