Renters claim denied by Allstate during disaster

Hi my name is Chelsea McConnell. I moved from CA to TN in June of 2021 to escape the crazy things happening in California. I moved with all my belongings, my husband, and 2 kids. The house we are renting just had a major flood while we were away on Christmas day. The house was equipped with a fire suppression system (sprinklers) made of poor materials and improperly insulated. We left the house on Christmas Eve to spend the night with my husband's family. When we left, the thermostat was set at 70 degrees, we shut the water off at the house, and spent extra time insulating an above ground pipe for the lawn maintenance system. The low at this time was about negative 3 degrees. We came home Christmas day to a flood we didn't think was possible with all our preparations. We didn't know the house had a fire suppression system or that it was on a different water line that has to be shut off at the street. I put in a claim with my insurance company that covers my renters insurance on Christmas day and gave them the address to the house we live in. It's now 13 days later and my claim has been denied because they don't have a record of my changing my address in the Allstate app when I moved 6 months ago from an apartment to the house we are staying in. Renters insurance covers my stuff, not the property location. I'm looking for help to re-coop some of my loss and to fund a lawsuit against Allstate, where your NOT in good hands!
