Clean water, new start – Help young people to a better life!

DrGD foundation:

We want to build youth academy and housing foundation futhermore we also want to create jobs in the communitie of the Democratic Republic of Congo. At the same time, we want to provide the local population with clean water by drilling wells and sewage systems.

That is the goal of the organization DrGD foundation, which is working on this project in the towns of N'sele, Balimu and Maluko on the outskirts of Kinshasa.

The youth academy and housing foundation will be built so that it is integrated with an adjacent school, where DrGD also conducts school activities – here you can train as a car mechanic, animal caretaker, assistant nurse – and a number of other vocational training courses.

Due to many years of political conflicts linked to Congo's rich natural resources, the education system has fallen behind. Conflicts between armed groups combined with a substandard road network mean that school-age children suffers the consequences.

Compulsory education applies to everyone from the age of six, but in conflict-affected areas there is no education at all.

Two-thirds of Congo's children start school, but only 44% continue with further studies. One reason why many do not complete their studies is that their parents do not have the money for school fees.

- We also want to create more local jobs by offering construction production in connection with planned school construction.

- Unemployment is high in Congo: according to a survey (2022), more than one in five inhabitants is unemployed.

Most of the planned construction projects in Kinshasa, Congo have already been financed – through own funds and private donations.

Since water is an absolute foundation for all life, we want to contribute with drilling and filtration to strengthen the local community. We have concentrated the water drillings on areas on the outskirts of Kinshasa where the state does not offer these services to the local population due to poor infrastructure.

-DrGD foundation has started a new fundraiser to raise money for water drilling and water filter sytem that purifies the water and makes it drinkable

We are iaming to drill water wells in three different places of Kinshasas outskirts, N’sele, Balimu and Maluko.
