Hi, my name is Candi, I’m starting this to help raise money for my brother Phillip “Scott” Wheeler!

My brother, who everyone knows as Scott, is one of the strongest individuals I have known in my life, he has always need a hard worker, and now has future challenges of work ahead, he has been through a lot. He is a loving father of 3 boys, ages 14,12, and 6. Scott has always been there to help his family and anyone who needed him.

On December 26th he was shot two times, once in the shoulder which paralyzed him from the stomach down affecting control of his left arm, another hitting him in the face shattering several of his facial bones. My nephews were witnesses of the aftermath and rendered aide until responders arrived, saving his life! This was NOT GANG or DRUG RELATED.

He was in critical condition for several days, during that time his blood pressure bottomed out, he spiked fevers, and developed problems in his lungs. 13 days after being in ICU he was transferred to the rehabilitation center area of the hospital where he is today.

As of today, he has not had any fever for several days and the blood pressure is getting better. He still has limited movement in his left upper body and is learning all the things he’s needs, to be able to go home with round the clock care of a home aide.

During all of this Scott has not been able to pay his rent or utilities and there are several things like, medical needs that insurance will not cover. He is unable to work due to this condition right now and all of this stuff is just adding up! Donations will go directly towards all of these I have mentioned!
