Pet fees on New Lease… help me keep my fur babies!

Hello everyone my name is Stephen and I have my wife here, Amanda. I am struggling with my landlord who is raising my rent by $440 starting May 1 (totaling $2000). On top of that, she would like me to pay another pet deposit as well as a monthly fee per animal OR wants me to get rid of my pets. My wife is studying to be a nurse -she is in her last semester and graduates in May. She has her job lined up as an RN and begins orientation July 11.  Until then, I am the breadwinner making only about $2000 a month which only can cover the rent. I have a dog who is three years old (Ellie) and I also have my beautiful cat (Moxie). Our kids are devastated and we promised to do whatever we can to keep them… this is our desperate plea. This all happens after a pipe burst in our house and I’m preeeeeetty sure that’s why she is increasing the rent which is ridiculous! We are good people and even better tenants! This is all just a slap in the face ☹️
