In January 2026, I broke my hip after falling more than six feet off a stage while performing with my band, Fairy Bones, in Scottsdale, AZ. The fall was due to the venue's negligence, and from that moment, my life changed dramatically.

From May until January, I was in constant pain, visiting doctors and getting x-rays that showed nothing, while a hidden hairline fracture slowly made things worse. Eventually, I was on crutches waiting for an MRI, but before I could get it, I slipped and fell again, breaking my hip. I was rushed to the hospital and had surgery the next day.

The pain was unimaginable, and the recovery has been long and difficult.. months of physical therapy, using a walker, pain management, and sleepless nights. Now, in August, I can walk with a cane and sometimes on my own, thanks to hard work and determination in PT.

As a musician, manager, marketer, freelance graphic designer, website designer, content creator, and social media manager, I’ve always worked hard to support myself. But since the accident, I’ve had to stay home and rely on friends and family, especially when I was bed bound. I haven’t been able to keep up with work and have fallen behind on rent for 3 months.

My rent is $800/a month, and I’ve set the campaign goal to be 3 months of rent ($2400), but absolutely any amount would help dig me out of this hole I’m in.

I had just moved into a new house in January and was paying rent at both my old and new places for two months, which drained my savings.

Then, I had to make the tough decision to put down my soulmate dog, Mali, who had seizures and Valley Fever since 2017, and was 16 years old, which not only took an emotional toll, but was another financial blow. I know I am not alone in struggling financially right now, so any donation amount is truly such a blessing.

I have been trying to avoid asking for help, but I’ve been searching for a work-from-home job for months with no luck..but if you need a graphic designer for your band, business, or project, I’d be stoked to do the work for you instead of a donation! Your support means the world to me.
