Waller's Coffee Shop was created and sustained by fundraisers. We started with nothing and after a year and half of paying rent we were finally able to open our doors January 2019. When 2020 hit we managed to stay open and learned how to operate in the new world. The community stepped up and told us we were important enough to support and continue operating.
2023 we switched to a community event space model for our after hours and it worked great!
We managed to keep it going with the help of the community every time we experienced set backs.
After the break in last September it's seemed like the dominos kept falling and we find ourselves in trouble once again. It's been overwhelming and too much for one person to handle.
So I'll swallow my pride and turn to the community once again for a little boost to get us into the new year.
$12,000 is the minimum and could use so much more to make 2024 an even better year.
We've always done the best we can with what we've had. We've always tried to make customer service, quality baked goods, and tasty drinks a priority. Yall have looked past the muddy parking lot and the second hand chairs and have seen us doing our best to make everyone feel welcome. Good intentions don't pay the bills unfortunately.
Rent is due Jan 5th Sba Loan payment is due Jan 5th Bills, payroll, taxes, inventory, and on and on you get the picture.
Both of our espresso grinders broke last Friday so a big immediate expense is at least replacing one of them.
Another necessary expense is bringing on someone to help navigate the business so we don't get into trouble so often. I've done the best I can do but on the job training isn't cutting it anymore. Time to bring in a professional business consultant. I have a lead and will find someone asap to help the business survive for many years to come.
I feel selfish asking again because there are people who need it more than me. I'm not asking for me. I'm asking for this place. Waller's Coffee Shop has been able to do some real good in this community. I have big plans and need some help to be able to make those happen.
I appreciate all the help and support we've received over the years. I'm proud of what we've accomplished.
If it ends tomorrow I'll feel great about the effort and grateful for all the love we've shown each other.
If you've got a couple of dollars we could use it. If you don't have money to spare maybe sharing the link so as many people can see it as possible. Thank you. This journey has made me a better person. I still have more to learn and many areas to grow in. Either way I hope everyone knows you are not alone and there's help out there if you want it. I pray we stay curious and continue to look for ways to be helpful to one another.
