Over the past few months, my work has been struggling due to the ICE activity here in Minneapolis causing various meetings and events to cancel. This unexpected situation has caused a significant downturn combined with the usual winter slowdown, it has difficult for me to keep up with rent payments. I’ve always worked hard to support myself and contribute to my community, but these recent challenges have made it tough to maintain stability and peace of mind. I have been working to try and find opportunities to cover the gap, but even gig work apps in the area have waitlists for signups. However, it looks like it’s going to pick back up again soon hopefully as we go into the spring. 

I am reaching out for help because I want to keep my home and have a chance to rebuild. Receiving rent assistance would mean the world to me right now.
